On 23^rd March, NCC Cadets of IIS Deemed to be University celebrated Shaheed Diwasin the honour and remembrance of the sacrifice of our brave freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, SukhdevThapar, and Shivaram Rajguru for the nation. The trio fought for the freedom of India from the colonial rulers and sacrificed their lives on March 23, 1931.The event commenced with a mime act performed by the students of Theatre Department. Further NCC cadets began their silent march along with NSS students at the college campus with banners reading the names of the martyr soldiers and paid their immense tribute.

“They may kill me, but they cannot kill my ideas. They can crush my body, but they will not be able to crush my spirit”-Bhagat Singh. On Martyr's Day, NCC Cadets remember the ideas of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev once again and these ideas made them envision of ways through which they can eliminate oppression from our society.
