Objective: Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan intends to reach out to the masses and spread awareness about substance abuse through various activities like:

  • Awareness generation programmes
  • Focus on higher educational Institutions, university campuses and schools
  • Reaching out to the Community and identifying dependent population
  • Focus on counselling and treatment facilities in hospitals and rehabilitation centres that have been geo-tagged
  • Capacity building programmes for service providers

On September 12, 2022 all the cadets of IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur attended the live event of Nasha Mukti Abhiyaan conducted by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. In this event various NCC cadets shared their experiences of the numerous events they conducted for creating awareness to not use tobacco products and discussed its harmful effects on once health. Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri. Rajnath Singh also attended and addressed this event to appreciate the efforts of NCC cadet.

Outcome: It was a very useful session to create awareness among the people to quit tobacco intake and to appreciate NCC cadets for their contribution to this campaign.
