On September 5, 2023, as part of the 39th Eye Donation Fortnight celebration, EBSR organized a remarkable event in Jaipur.

The highlight of the day was a spirited NCC (National Cadet Corps) march past, which began at Tripoliya Gate and culminated at Albert Hall. This event was aimed at raising awareness about eye donation and promoting this noble cause.

The NCC cadets, around 200 from all three wings - Army, Navy, and Air Force, played a pivotal role in the procession. They carried eye support banners and Netradan posters in their hands, symbolizing the importance of eye donation.

The Rajasthan Police battalion, led by Mr. Biju George Joseph, Commissioner of Police Jaipur, accompanied the NCC cadets, adding to the grandeur of the occasion. In Chaura Rasta, members of Amar Jain Hospital showered rose petals on the marching columns of the NCC cadets, which was a very touching sight.

The event commenced with the flag-off ceremony conducted by Mr. Biju Joseph. Esteemed members of the EBSR, President Mr. BL Sharma, Vice Presidents Mr. V.C. Sancheti and Mr. Kapil Garg, Secretary Mr. L.P. Korhari, many other EBSR members and staff were present.

Outcome: One of the poignant moments of the event was when all the participants and attendees took an oath to promote and support eye donation, pledging to make it a family tradition.

The participants had the opportunity to interact and share their experiences.
