Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat II, Silchar

OBJECTIVES

• To celebrate the Unit in Diversity of our Nation and to maintain and strengthen the fabric of traditionally existing emotion bonds between the people of our Country.
• To promote the spirit of Nation intergration through a deep and structured engagement between all Indian States and Union Territories through a year-long planned engagement between States.
• To showcase the rich heritage and culture, customs and traditions of either State for enabling people to understand and appreciate the Diversity that is India, thus fostering a sense of common identity.
• To establish long term engagements.
• To create an environment which promotes learning between States by sharing best practices and experiences.

The EBSB camp was organized from 6^th to 15^th Oct 2022 by NCC Directorate North Eastern region, Shillong. The Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat camp is based on to celebrate the idea of India as a nation wherein different cultural units across varied geographies coalesce and interact with each other, this glorious manifestation of diverse cuisine, music, dance, theatre, sports and festivals etc. enabled cadets to imbibe the innate chord of binding and brotherhood.

There were 7 cadets in which 5 were SDs and 2 were SWs from 1RAJ AIR SQN JAIPUR. We participated in many cultural & sports activities such as dance, music, theatre, football and volleyball etc. also we ranked 1^st in NIAP competition and won Gold in Girl’s volleyball match. We also attended Expa Cadet Programme in which we learnt many new skills and had lot of fun.Apart from these activities we explored Tea Estate of Silchar and visited Kamakhya Temple of Guwahati and also we learned new experiences.

Outcome:To impress upon people at large about the increasing inter-connectedness between the constituents of various cultures and traditions, which is so vitals for the spirit of nation building.
